Dakota Beef Announces the Appointment of Steve Lavey as Executive Vice President And Chief Financial Officer

CHICAGO, IL., Mar 12 - PRNewswire - Dakota Beef LLC, the country's largest vertically-integrated organic beef company, announced the appointment of Steve Lavey as the company's Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Lavey brings more than 20 years experience in senior financial management in both private and publicly-held companies.

Mr. Lavey joins Dakota Beef as an officer and owner from Northlight Partners LLC, a successful operations and strategy consulting firm where he served as President and CEO. He most recently co-founded and served as Executive Vice President-CFO and Managing Director for The Envestnet Group, Inc., a successful high-growth VC-backed financial services firm in the asset management sector. He spearheaded the completion of more than $43 million in growth capital financing and an acquisition during his stint there. Prior to that, he served on the Board of Directors and was the Chief Financial Officer for American Disposal Services, a $240 million, fast-growing, publicly traded consolidator in the waste services industry that made more than 100 acquisitions and was acquired by Allied Waste Industries. Mr. Lavey has also held financial positions with Bank of America and an international accounting firm. He received an MBA in corporate finance and strategy from the University of Michigan Graduate School of Business and has an undergraduate degree in economics and accounting from the University of Michigan.
