Dakota Beef Applauds McDonald's
Antibiotic Reduction Policy
Chicago, IL, June 27, 2003 - Dakota Beef LLC fully supports the decision
by the McDonald's Corporation to reduce the use of animal growth-promoting
antibiotics that are used in human medicine. This is a positive step
towards improving meat products for the American public, says Scott
Lively, president and CEO of Dakota Beef. Our expectations, that more
and more leading corporations would embrace natural and organic products,
are being realized.
Dakota Beef Company is a fully integrated certified
organic beef processor delivering case-ready beef for retail
sale. We are on track to increase production in order to supply antibiotic-free
beef products that will meet the needs of large beef buyers,
such as
McDonald's, adds Mr. Lively. The company is currently in
negotiations for a new processing facility in South Dakota, as well
as talks with
leading grocery retailers. Additional information can be
found at www.dakotabeefcompany.com.
